Hager h3+ MCCB with microprocessor LSI or LSIG release

HHS040JR / HHT040LR

Moulded case circuit breaker with an electronic trip unit giving adjustable overload with delay, adjustable short circuit with delay, and instantaneous protection. Neutral protection is standard on all four pole versions, settable to off, 50% or 100%.

Hager hws air circuit breaker

HWS2M306F2AI / HWS4E325F2AI

The incoming breaker for a substation or main distribution board. Fixed and draw-out versions, with door flange, rear terminals, safety shutters with padlocking, four normally-open and four normally-closed auxiliary contacts, and rack-in/rack-out handle as standard.

Common questions

When do I need an MCCB instead of an MCB?

Above roughly 63 A, or wherever you need adjustable trip settings to coordinate with devices upstream and downstream. MCCBs also offer far higher breaking capacity, which matters close to a transformer where prospective fault current is high.

What is the difference between LSI and LSIG trip units?

LSI provides Long-time, Short-time and Instantaneous protection. LSIG adds Ground fault protection. LSIG is normally specified on incomers and on circuits feeding equipment where an earth fault would otherwise go undetected until it caused damage.
